If you have never attended the Stewart Park Festival in Perth, then you have not experienced bliss. For more than two decades this event has featured three days of free music in stunning Stewart Park – a jewel in the heart of Perth and one of the Seven Wonders of Lanark County. In 2017 and 2013 the festival received special recognition for something so many have known for a long time – that this is one of the Top 100 Festivals in Ontario! The award is presented by Festivals and Events Ontario at their annual conference. The Stewart Park Festival was nominated amid the more than 3,000 festivals and events that take place in the province. Mayor John Fenik, at a special surprise presentation for festival organizers, congratulated them for 22 years of service excellence and dedication to the annual event. “The time and dedication of volunteers over the years have made the Stewart Park Festival a signature tourism attraction for Perth.” Each year the event offers an eclectic assortment of more than 30 live music acts on two stages in the park, along with workshops, an artisan and food market and an After Hours feature that sees the acts back on stage in local establishments for more live music.
