This is an event where locals and tourists alike come together to connect with their Scottish roots, or just experience some foot tapping-good Celtic music. Head over to the Crystal Palace basin area, where you’ll find the live music stage. This year, on June 23, the Kilt Run’s headlining musical act will be Mudmen. These Celtic rock warriors are sure to get you up out of your seat, dancing to a unique mix of Celtic inspired bagpipe melodies, and good old classic rock. Don’t have anything Scottish to wear? No Problem! Check out the Irish Scot Tish Shop on 39 Foster St. for their selection of colourful kilts and tams.
Now in its 9th year and with Perth Brewery as the major sponsor, the Perth World’s Kilt Run continues to be a major attraction, drawing thousands of visitors to the town to race or cheer. To register, visit raceroster.com/perthkiltrun218.
Order your kilt when you register and join in this authentic and ever popular kilted 5 mile / 8 km race that passes through the historic stone streetscapes of Perth and across the spectacular Tay River.
Highlights include a Pipe Band March to the castle starting gate, street bands, cheering stations and so much more! Spectators will be thrilled with the Wee Lads and Lassies races sponsored by Mackie’s Crisps, the much-anticipated Haggis Toss Competition, live Celtic music, face painting, and Perth Brewery beer all afternoon!
