Event Details
Lanark County Interval House has been servicing women and children in the area for 40 years. The organization will be hosting a fundraising event called “LCIH Break the Cycle” on Saturday June 15th from 1 pm until 4 pm. This event will be held during Almonte is Bicycle month and supported by the Almonte Bicycle Club.
The event is a 5 kilometer family cycling event starting and finishing outside the Almonte Library near the Community Wood Oven. The cycling trail will be on the Ottawa Valley Recreational Trail located right beside the library. A small circuit will be available in the starting area (library parking lot) for little ones to use their tricycles.
Participants can expect to find outdoor oven roasted pizza and beverages for sale for a modest price. There will be resting stations, first aid on hand, bicycle tune up, face painting, popcorn, balloons and more. There will be a raffle sponsored of a Louis Gameau bike donated by Kunstadt Sports in Kanata watch for more raffle details.
All of the funds raised from this day will support Lanark County Interval and Community Support. Advanced registration can be done online at www.lcih.org, the cost for individuals is $35 for one, $30 for 2 and $100 for 4 or 5 participants.
